Functional; because nowadays we’re all more concerned about lifting heavy weights one way in a movement that will never benefit us in real life. Since when have you needed to use the movement of a tricep pulldown for any real life activity? Grab a kettlebell, use that for 4 weeks and I guarantee you will lose a lot more weight and put on a ton more muscle than if you were working purely the “beach muscles” (chest, biceps, 6 pack).

Intense; because that’s what gets results, whether it’s weight loss (which is what it is for most people), bulking, posture correction, etc etc. Intensity gets results. Fact.

Training; because we don’t do “exercise”. When you train with F.I.T. you train for life, training doesn’t stop once you’ve lost 2 stone, got that curvy bum you’ve always wanted or put on 1 stone of muscle, it keeps going. A new goal is discussed and written up, and then away we go again. Your body is ever-growing, if you don’t progress then your body will grow weak. Do you want that?

Simple, Quick, Effective

Simple; Your body is a weight, you carry it around everywhere with you. No need for barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, medicine balls, and the list goes on. Just by using your bodyweight you can compile a very simple, time efficient workout. Not to say that you can’t use the above tools, but if you can’t even handle your own bodyweight then what business do you have picking up a 16kg kettlebell? Build a base first, bodyweight.

Quick: We don’t all have time in the day/week to spend hours in the gym, or wherever we may workout, so any workout has to be quick. Adding to the above point, you don’t even need to go to a gym to workout with your bodyweight, just start wherever you are. Drop and give me 50!

Effective: The point that ties everything together. It’s a given that with a quick and simple workout that it will be effective. We’ve been led to believe through the years that low intensity is “best”; a light jog on the treadmill will burn loads of fat. It won’t.

What I really want to drive home is the fact that intensity is the name of the game. Throw out your cardio equipment, weight machines, Ab Lounges and Slendertone belts, they do nothing for you. Get something that works, get F.I.T.
